If you have purchased an OSB performance Flash Utility, please note that the AF Ratio Adjustment Procedure document has been revised.
After gathering information working with customers over the summer adjusting their bikes, and some testing I have done with my bike, I feel the revision will be an improvement, especially to those that don't have a lot of tuning experience. This does not mean there was anything wrong with the old document; with the additional information gained through experience and testing, I felt it needed to be updated.

Also could use the Australian BUE2D231 09-30-09 (142 / 152) (062) 2009 and 2008.

If anyone can email me any of these it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Curious how many would be interested in PFU's for the XB12's?? If you have an interest please let me know.

Will be able to send you the Aussie 142 version when my cable arrives 8)

Ordered that number plate on-line.
Thought I had it, but then I got a letter from the RTA saying some people might find it offensive and they were knocking it back. Pity.

California and Euro Spec Performance Flash Utilities (PFU's) have been created and are now available for the most current (09-30-09 firmware) factory calibrations.
Both Open exhaust and Stock exhaust.

I'd like to put out a feeler for how many Buell owners (late model 1125 or XB) would be interested in an auto tune module kit that will work on a Buell.
It will utilize dual wideband 02 sensors (one for each cylinder) in a semi-closed loop system to automatically adjust and fine tune the Air Fuel ratio to the engine it is installed on.
This is an extremely accurate and adjustable system, far more sophisticated than the stock narrowband O2 closed loop learning system that comes standard in the stock ECM.
The stock narrowband closed loop learning system is disabled in the stock ECM and replaced with this much more accurate, programmable wideband closed loop system.
All you have to do is set up your Air/Fuel Maps then ride it normally and it will adjust on the fly. The more you ride it, the better it gets.
You will be able to program the desired AF Ratio into each individual cell of a map, and if you change intake or exhaust flow it will adjust for it on an individual load-point basis.
Pricing will most likely be in the $900 - $1000 USD range as a complete kit, similar to the pricing for other systems on the market that are not compatible with the Buells.

I'm trying to determine what the market potential is for a system like this to see if it is worth the effort, and based on the response I get I may develop a complete kit for Buells.
If you have a serious interest in this product, please send me an email dleppel@gmail.com

Merry Christmas!

Oh, Yeah.....

That's cool. A good chunk of change, but in line with the rest of the market. That would be a pretty spectacular rig.

Do I understand correctly that you would just basically replace the O2's, plug in, tell it how lean or rich the target A/F ratio you desire, and go ride it?

Nifty.

Yep, that's about it. full time electronic tuner in a box.
"tell it how lean or rich the target A/F ratio you desire" yes, but the really cool thing is it allows you to define your target AF Ratio cell by cell, in a programmable A/F Map.
You can have some areas with richer or leaner cells than the rest of the map.
Also, if you make a change to the intake or exhaust down the road, just ride it and it will make the fuel corrections for you.
Want to try different spark timing? change them and go ride it, it will take care of the fuel adjustment for you.

The auto Tuner does fuel correction only - The spark maps can always be altered directly within the ECM.

well i'd be interested in this. your perf flash already did good things. now, would this be somehow tied to the factory ECM updates as with the performance flash utility? i've avoided getting the newer flash from HD since it would render my performance flash useless unless i paid for your upgrade, which is a bit spendy for my tastes ;)
